“Had an emergency a few months ago when my serpentine belt snapped while I was driving. Johnny didn't have the part, but offered to fix it immediately if I could find the belt and get to him before they closed. Was able to find the part at a local auto parts store and made it to Power Plus right as my car was about to die and they were about to close. Johnny and crew pulled through and fixed my car as promised. Great service, good prices, really nice people!”

I didn't know a lot of flowers Jayne sells because a lot of florist don't go to the extent Jayne does. She gets the best of the best flowers and sells them for the best of the best prices. She has so much knowledge about flowers and you can see the love she has when she talks about them. She is so interesting to speak with, her husband too, just genuinely good people that made a great business out of nothing. They work on Holidays and keep smiles on their faces at all times. “Come for the exceptional knife sharpening, stay for the selection of cooking gear and amazing customer service. I couldn't have had a better knife sharpening experience here. I have three Wusthof knives- 1 chef's knife and two santoku knives. I love cooking and use them almost constantly. I dropped in and was attended to immediately. They were done in 48 hours and very considerately sheathed for safe transport. The quality of the work was exceptional and they really could not have made the process any more simple. They also included a small card with tips on how to take good care of my knives on a daily basis, which I appreciated a lot. Very fair pricing and excellent customer service. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to take good care of their knives. Pro tip: This would be a perfect and thoughtful gift for the home cook in your life that is hard to shop for! Cooking gear is very personal, but sharp knives are an essential for anyone who cooks. I have also purchased baking sheets, cutting boards, prep bowls, and a few cooking utensils here. Great selection and they really maximize their space without making it feel crowded. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. There is free parking in the back of the building. Sure, you could probably buy it for a little cheaper online, but supporting high quality local institutions like this one is a genuine pleasure. Keep up the great work, Local Root!”

“This is wonderful. A great place to work, do homework, or read books for hours on end. The cafe is great, I especially suggest the hot chocolate. Belmont Books has a great variety of not only books, but also journals and a nice little reading spot upstairs near the staircase. This is a great place for books gifts, especially for young children, there is a lot of variety. It's a wonderful bookstore, and I absolutely suggest going to it to buy books or even just to browse.”
