Finding a seamstress was one of the most stressful parts of planning my wedding - there simply aren't as many reviews for tailors as there were for all the other vendors, and I was terrified of picking the wrong person for something as important as my wedding dress. For anyone in the same situation, your search can end here.

Scheduling and moving appointments is easy. Maria gives you her opinion, but also listens to what you want and comes up with solutions to deliver it. I really wanted my dress to "hug" me and accentuate all my curves and she absolutely delivered -when I picked up my dress, it was perfect...and that is when she truly went above and beyond.

A couple months after picking up my dress -and only 2 weeks before my wedding day-I tried it on again and realized, to my horror, that all the Insanity workouts had worked out and the dress was now too big! I had lost too much weight and, though the dress was still gorgeous, it was just not fitting like a glove as it had when I had my fittings. And this dress was designed to fit like a glove. I called Maria in a panic on Labor Day, not expecting a response, because she was closed. She called me back within an hour and said she would come in that day and that she could see me within the hour. She said that she was supposed to have the day off, but because she had customers calling her, she had to come in to be there for them. I went in and she repinned me (taking it in all the way down on both sides) and confirmed that she would be able to have it done in time for when I left - in 9 days! Incredible, because I know it was a busy, busy time - afterall, she had had to come in on a holiday she was getting so many calls from customers.

I went in the day before I left for my wedding and I was so relieved to slip into my dress and have that feeling of "this fits like a glove." It was imperative to me that I didn't look like my dress was wearing me and Maria made sure that wasn't the case. It was a dream come true on my wedding day when all the compliments were "that dress looks like it was made for you."

I got the dress taken in (twice), hemmed, cups put in, and a bustle put in and the pricing was very fair. You can trust Maria to make sure you feel like the bride of your dreams-and that peace of mind is invaluable.

Maria understands the exact needs of her customers. Because of her, I enjoyed 5 outfits for a family wedding.

Elegant tailor is amazing!!!! When I purchased my wedding dress, I loved the dress itself but hated how it fit until it was altered by Maria (owner). She was so kind, made me feel at ease, and always thought about solutions when I expressed my wishes. For example, I had a low back dress but really wanted to wear spanx. No spanx worked out the package so Maria actually sewed the back lower. It was perfect!!! I had a smooth stomach and nothing showed in the back. Maria was patient with me, never rushed me out and really cared about her work. Her work is excellent quality, she is super friendly, and has reasonable prices. She's my go-to seamstress for life.
