Been there couple of days back after reading an online post about Long eared Owl sightings. Glad I went there and saw the beautiful bird soaking up the sun and dozing.

14. Dunback Meadow, Lexington, Massachusetts - BirdWatching
Dunback Meadow is one of my favorite fall birding spots. Low-growing trees and shrubs bordering its trails make it possible to view birds at eye level, and its moist meadow edges are ideal for those warblers that love to lurk. I recall a fall day when I watched three Connecticut Warblers in a single bush.

Dunback Meadow This is an extremely historic meadow, with a rather odd name; it was named in the 1600s, most probably by a fellow named Sparhawke. The hummocks around the place would have looked like the backs of the whales. Thus, we arrive at "Dunback Meadows."
