Great place to walk dogs
I went to Chiesa with my daughter and had a wonderful time. The best part was running into Halé and her goats. My daughter got to visit with the goats and ask questions about what they ate. The land was beautiful. It was the perfect spot for a picnic.
If you are a dog owner, beware and keep away from the goat lady. Her name is Halé Sofia Schatz. She has a disgusting personality and has threatened to hit people’s dogs with her walking stick if they get too close. Everyone who walks there knows this. She acts as if she owns the land and is very protective over her goats. Finally, I had my first encounter. I didn’t see her and her herd until we met at the top of the hill where the paths merg. My dog was leashed, under my control, and yards away from the main path as she yelled at me to back up and make way for her goats. She clearly had no control of them as they trotted through without waiting and their leashes all dragging on the ground. This behavior on public lands is not okay. It’s a town rule that on conservation lands, there is a limit of 2 dogs per person and they must be on leash or voice command. These same rules should apply to her. Chiesa farms has a beautiful landscape and we should all be able to enjoy it stress-free. If you ever encounter her, be sure to take a video.
Great place for an evening walk. You might even see a pack of goats on your walk.
Beautiful and peaceful! Wonderful for an early morning walk.
