Whipple Hill is a small conservation area on the Winchester / Lexington border. There is sometimes limited parking but you can park on nearby side streets. There is a central ridge - Whipple Hill is the highest point on the NW side of Boston of the hills surrounding Boston Basin - with a few views, and a number of marked forest paths. There is also a nice pond with a small loop around that. Boardwalks protect some of the muddiest areas.
Well, Whipple Hill is a breath of fresh air - literally????
Well maintained trails year round with access from Lexington, Arlington and Winchester. Dogs permitted off leash without time restrictions.
Great to walk your dog, get some blueberries and climb a little bit. Fantastic view and our kids love it!
