  We just finished a family dinner at Real and it was amazing! From delicious milk shakes and chicken fingers for the kids to scrumptious steak and roasted chicken....everything was delicious! Don’t miss out on this new gem!!

  The food was amazing, and the wine selections great too. The ceasar salad was delicious and my husband loved the maple butter with the bread basket. I was glad he saved the homemade hummus for me. It was delicious. For entrees, he thought the hanger steak rare was terrific and I thought the fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The butterscotch pot de creme was to die for. We will plan to return soon!!

  What can I say about Real! Just on first impressions alone, the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL, I walked in to a busy opening night and was utterly impressed with the design of the space; clean, cool, calming, and simply stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful in understanding the unique items on the menu. Their house made ricotta and roasted fat moon mushrooms as well as the smorrebrod (yes I looked up the spelling) with potatoes and kale were out of this world. We had the steak with fries and broccoli and the roasted chicken with root vegetables. Whatever the steak was marinated in was so delicious and the hand cut fries were the best I’ve ever had! Chicken was most and delicious with simply roasted root veg that we just loved. This place exceeded expectations and was well worth the 45 minute drive! I can’t wait to go back to try everything else!

  We had a wonderful Dinner at Real Restaurant this evening, which was also the evening of its official opening here in Lincoln. The food was excellent, staff was helpful and prompt. We were served relatively quickly. The Menu had a variety of selections that are sure to have something for almost any taste (or dietary restriction). I really wanted to try out their milkshakes - something you don't usually see in a restaurant of this caliber, but alas - my waistline would not allow it!
  
  What I most feel needs to be said is that the atmosphere of the restaurant is delightful. The decor has Scandinavian influences: clean lines, simple furnishings - elegant but not overpowering. And, the space is carefully designed to minimize noise. I have a hard time hearing anything when there is more than a little background noise, but I had no problems at all at Real, even with every table full of talkative guests.
  
  A wonderful experience and an enjoyable meal. We'll be sure to be back again soon!

  We got a sneak preview tonight and we're in love! I started with the pork frikadeller which comes on a delicious and new-to-me Scandinavian dark brown rye bread - a very unique flavor and texture that went brilliantly with the amazing house pickles. I really enjoyed the meat hook hot dog. It had a great smoked meat flavor that mixed so well with the frizzled onions and sauces. Definitely what I would call a gourmet dog. It's a couple hours later and I'm still savoring the memory of those flavor combinations! My wife choose the Real burger which came with the frizzled onions and rarebit, which is a Welsh classic blend of cheese, mustard, and spices. She now has a new favorite burger in town! Our friends went higher end and loved their salmon and hanger steak as well. A great experience from a brand new place that is sure to become hugely popular with so many fresh new tastes.
