I highly recommend using the Egoscue method if you’re wanting your body to feel great and work really well for you. I have had trouble with my Achilles tendon for the past couple years and have been looking for some thing to help it so I can be fully active again. When I discovered the Egoscue method and started working with Mike, it all made sense to me. The exercises that I have learned are helping to realign my body in its proper position so that it can work the way it’s designed to work. The most amazing part of all this is that now that my body is back into alignment it has resolved other issues that I wasn’t even thinking about when I started. I had lower back tightness every morning but now that is gone. I also had hunched shoulders but had given up on having good posture as it just seem too hard. However with these simple exercises I have an upright posture again which feels great! I’m also able to walk as long as I want again without feeling pain from my Achilles tendon. I am so happy to have discovered this method and think you will be too!

I spent the first 6 months of 2020 unsuccessfully working with physical therapy and an Orthopedic doctor to diagnose and treat my chronic groin, hip and lower back pain. I was scheduled for a cortisone shot when I found Matt Pidgeon at Egoscue. Today, I am pain free and am armed with exercises that help me maintain my strength in the weak areas that had caused my imbalance and pain. I highly recommend Matt and Egoscue for what feels like a miracle cure.

When I went to see Matt 5 years ago I was experiencing acute upper and lower back pain due to 2 protruding discs and fibromyalgia. I had gone to my rheumatologist, a chiropractor, a massage therapist, a physical therapist and an acupuncturist and noone was really able to help. Matt listened, asked questions, took pictures and put together a series of exercises specifically targeted to my body. I was already feeling better after the first session. I continued doing my exercises at home and went to see Matt once a month for 6 months and he has made me pain free. Matt will take the time to educate you about your body and your pain and will explain the purpose of each exercise. I now go for a tune up once a year and it is always a pleasure to see him and listen to his great advice!

Egoscue has changed my life. I struggled with shin splints for years and was losing all hope when I decided to try it. I had been in a boot, completed the standard RICE many times, tried about 6 orthotics including multiple customs, and seen many of the best trainers and doctors in MA. Nobody had any clue. Egoscue focuses on causes rather than symptoms and it really works. I went from being unable to run at all and play tennis more than 12 hours a month pain free to running 18 miles in one day and playing over 100 hours pain free in a month. AMAZING!

My name is Michael and I have been a client of Egoscue for five years. The entire experience has been life changing and curative of my bilateral sciatic pain that I have had for years.

The therapists at the clinic are very skilled both at their ability to diagnose your pain issues as well as listening to you and answering your questions about your condition.

The Egoscue Method treats the WHOLE body as opposed to the part that hurts. It makes sense that everything in the body is connected and it is necessary to treat all muscle and bone issues within a person's musculoskeletal system. The therapists will take pictures of your current posture and run you through a few simple poses. From there, they will design a set of exercises for you to begin your journey to a pain free life.

The most important thing to remember is that recovery takes time. Your current misalignments and dysfunctions have been developing over your entire life. Reducing them to the point that you stop feeling pain needs to be worked on over a long term basis. You should be doing your exercise menu at least once per day. The consistency will allow your muscles to change faster that doing the exercises sporadically.

Finally, the resolution of chronic pain is not a predictably improving process which can be frustrating. While your muscles are changing as you do your exercises, your pain levels may not be resolving as quickly or as predictably as you like. This is where you need to lean on your therapist for help. Let him or her know how you are feeling. It won't be the first time they heard it.
