Viewed 4th of July fireworks here the past two years. They have food and gift vendors and a carnival with a bunch of classic rides and games. Any other day, parking is probably no problem, however on the 4th, don't plan on getting out on a hurry. We'll try biking next time.
It’s a good field what can I say
The new playground at the elementary school end is really cool. I missed the big slides from the old playground. But the rope climbing structure is really sweet. Appropriate for kids of all ages. Easy parking right next to the playground.
We had a good experience here watching the Newton fireworks. Parking was kind of a nightmare but we still managed to catch the show. You can really see and hear the fireworks close up at this location.
Little local park. Lots of softball, little league and full sized baseball fields. Plenty of parking. Small concession stand (with somewhat limited hours). There are facilities available.
The only caution is that not all of the stands are accesible to those with disabilities. The baseball field had no path to get from the parking lot to the stands and no way to get in the stands. The grass was flat, so it was not a huge issue. But, be cautious. If it rains, it could be a little challenging.
