My PT was Dr. Philip Gauthier, somewhat of a fitness genius--he's significantly fond of olympic lifting, powerlifting, good nutrition, and has a solid understanding of the intricacies of the human body as it corresponds to movement. I came in with a back problem and several other problems that were related to athletics and exercise and that had been plaguing me for years. It was Phil's job to address only my back problem. But he went above and beyond--after discussing my other problems (knees, elbow, shoulders, strained pec), he developed a progressive routine for me to battle all of them. He was also willing and happy to address any questions or debates (as I have a somewhat decent knowledge of the body myself) I might have. I was there twice a week for about nine weeks and have improved IMMENSELY since we started. Whereas I was previously not able to squat, deadlift, bench press, skip rope, do push-ups and pull-ups, hit a heavy bag, jog, or walk down stairs comfortably, I can now do all of these activities and am progressing further every day. I am finally almost back to being the athlete I once was (probably even a better athlete). If you're an injured athlete (or even if you're not one, just injured), I would highly recommend you make an appointment with Dr. Phil.”
