Great view of Boston at the top! This park used to be a ski area back in the day so there are some steep paths going directly up from the green buildings. Great views in the winter, better views and more to do in the summer. Not far from the highway as well!
Huge park with tons of diff trails. Good for hiking, dogwalking, cookouts, or just exploring. The highest point "Boston Rock" has got some amazing views. (Great for 4th of July!) On a clear day, multiple cities can be seen, but it's quite a hike to get up there
Nice walk up to two look outs with good views of the Boston skyline. Parking was free and easy, and there were portable bathrooms in case there was need. It was a great walk for all age levels with smooth pavement. Keep in mind that during the colder months, the path is coated in leaves, snow, etc as there is no upkeep/cleaning of the path like in the summer. Strollers can definitely do this walk from top to bottom no problem!
Very nice place to take a moderately easy hike. Nice view of the Boston skyline.
A great and easily accessible place to hike, run, walk, and enjoy some fabulous views. The run up the road from the parking lot to the summit is about a mile, straight up, and you get rewarded with a vista of the Cambridge Reservoir. Keep going to see the old radar tower and the two summits. Continue down to the other side and 117 if you'd like. The opening of Border Road lets runners do a full loop of 4.75 miles or so.
