I can’t thank the Joyce family enough for the wonderful care they gave may partner Julia! From the pictures, garden tool, running shoes and spin bike. You really told her story for us. What a tribute!
Thanks
John Piscitelli
I understand precautions must be taken due to covid, but the employees were kinda pushy and ushering us out the door a little too quickly. Saying goodbye to a loved one is hard enough...people are devestated. It shouldn't be treated like a drive-thru. The whole thing was rushed, telling us to walk through, and then walk right out. It just made things more uncomfortable, then needed.
Thank you so much from bottle of our hearts for all you have done during my dad's passing. Jim, Jim, Jackie and all Joyce Funeral Home staff, we are so grateful for your kindness and professionalism. We wish you all the best, and will forever be thankful.
Joyce Funeral Home’s care and attention to us during our Mom, Sheila Segreve’s, passing was something my family will never forget. This year, 2020, has been so difficult for far too many people and we lost our mom in the midst of so much uncertainty. We didn’t even know if a funeral was going to be a possibility with so many restrictions. The loss of our mom was devastating. It took all we could do to focus and process what had happened. The weight of making sure her services were exactly what she would have wanted was so important to us. They helped every step of the way from the first phone call to them. They were patient with us and all the decisions we needed to make. They felt like family working through this process.
We were fortunate that the state restrictions due to the coronavirus were lifted and we were able to have a wake for our mom, with just immediate family. Our mom had suffered a lot before she passed and we really didn’t know if we could bare to see her. I am so glad we made the decision for an open casket because she was so beautiful and peaceful.
We were all able to speak if we wanted to at the wake and Frank Joyce gave some closing reflections. He was able to weave in who our mom was with his words and then a beautiful slideshow was projected onto the walls. Her life surrounded us set to beautiful music. It was a moment I will never forget. Everything was so elegant and so much my mom, we know she is so proud of how her life was honored and we couldn’t have done this without Joyce Funeral Home.
We are so thankful to Jim, Jackie and Frank and the entire family at Joyce. Their compassion, patience and professionalism are a true gift to families who are grieving. You can tell by everything that they do for grieving families is done with an understanding that caring for the living and the dead is a sacred privilege, something they amazingly aspire to and achieve. We will forever be grateful because our Moms sendoff was everything she would have wanted.
