(December 14, 2019, 3:20 pm)This is part of the Wilson Mountain Reservation, but it is much nearer to Westfield Street. It supply's water to the houses on Westfield St. This water tank may have been here for a hundred years. It was made with rivets and not welded which means it was in place before World War II as welding didn't really start until that era. It is a wonderfully peaceful place even though it is close to Route 128/I-95. It is on a side path off the path running from Common Street on the north side of the reservation. The reservation generally is a place of quietude and peace with lovely Southern New England habitat. The top of the water tower can be seen from high points around and used to be visible from Wilson Mountain Rock. However the trees are growing higher.
