Fusion Academy Hingham

I am not sure I can find all the words to properly thank Jacob Weaver and his staff and describe our experience with Fusion Academy in Hingham. In a nutshell it was hands down one of the best decisions I have made in my life. When I look back and compare my son’s experience with the public school system, I honestly believe Fusion changed the course of his life. When you have a child with certain differences, learning may take longer. Despite their tremendous efforts, results are often a fraction of their peers setting them up for painful comparisons and bitter frustration. Instead of a fun and fulfilling experience, school can become a breeding ground for depression and anxiety, and assignments a battle ground at home. It is exhausting for parent and child alike. The playing field is not always a level surface. With Fusion’s one-to-one teaching that was tailored to him, it set him on a path to succeed academically, socially and emotionally and his self-confidence grew in ways we only dared dream. He experienced a love of learning and looked forward to going to school every day in a calming, nurturing and fun environment. My son was so fortunate to be the first graduate of Hingham Fusion and although he may be done with high school, the entire staff has become his family and I am certain that he will remain close to them.

Fusion Academy in Hingham does an amazing job educating the whole child. We are very impressed with the way Jacob Weaver and his team of highly talented and caring teachers have tailored the coursework to our son's needs and interests. He enjoys his core classes (english, science and math) because the material is taught in a practical way so that he understands how it relates to the "real world." Fusion has also supported him in developing his long-term career goals by enabling him to do an internship and take courses like music, recording arts and life skills, with top notch teachers in the field. Fusion provides a truly personalized learning experience that will have a significant impact on your child's life.

Fusion Academy in Hingham has been a breath of fresh air to our household. After years of feeling like the public school "just didn't get" my very social/athletic kid, we have found an academic home at Fusion. Fusion-Hingham supports our son in every way. They are helping him daily to find his passion and to feel like a competent/worthy student. The staff met him where he was, and they are bringing him further than he believed he could go.

Fusion has made a huge difference to our son’s self-confidence and his self-motivation. He has always had a keen interest in learning but traditional public schools seemed to stifle that interest. When most parents struggle to connect with their kids during the middle school years, our son has become not only easier to connect with but also wanting to connect with us and others. Fusion has been a game-changer for our family.

We knew we had to get our son out of the public school system, but we were reluctant to join the traditional private school world. Fusion has been the perfect spot. We love the non-competitiveness, the individual attention he receives in every class, the flexibility of schedule, and the freedom from overwhelming school social dynamics. We are finally able to focus on supporting his needs, rather than struggling to have him meet institutional demands and social pressures.
