New England Hospice is, by far, the best hospice organization in Massachusetts. I have worked with them for more than a year and they provide amazing, high quality care for their patients. New England Hospice also provided extras that you do not always see with hospice organizations, such as Reiki therapy and companions that will keep patients company, and involve them in activities such as games, reading, and conversation, just to name a few. Comforting spiritual care (the area where I work) is also available and provided to patient of any and all faith traditions. Patient families will also find that the same New England Hospice staff that is caring for their loved ones will also be ready to provide support and care for them. New England Hospice will be there when other organizations may not be available when needed. Skilled nursing facilitys will also find that New England Hospice staff is available to them for support and care, and is happy to provide community wide care such as memorial services, ceremonies to honor and remember veterans, and grief counseling for facility staff. New England Hospice is also a great organization to work with, providing excellent compensation and benefits, direct access to management whole listen to and care about employee concerns and feedback, and an excellent work culture that promotes team cooperation and flexibility, while lacking the micromanaging that can be found in other organizations. If you find your loved one or yourself in need of hospice care, please do your loved one and yourself a great favor and take a look at the superior care that New England Hospice has to offer. My mother in law was in they're care for only a short period of time, but we could not ask for nicer people and excellent care that they gave to her. They were very informative of every step through the entire time. We couldn't ask for a better group of people.

I am currently an intern with New England Hospice. As a Social Worker, I am concerned about Patient Care, Dignity at End of Life and Ethics. This hospice agency goes above and beyond to care for their patients. They make sure the families are informed and the person is comfortable. Nurses will not put patients on their caseload if they do not meet the criteria. A team culture is encouraged and people spend a good amount of time and provide quality care to each person. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this agency.
