(September 1, 2018, 1:29 pm)Northeast Surfing has taught me to surf, connected me to other adults I can surf with, and advised me in my search for equipment... who could ask for more from their local surf shop? I did the adult surf camp and took one private lesson through Northeast Surfing and it has given me the confidence to surf on my own! The camp was a great way to meet area adults who I now surf with. The shop is very responsive to emails and gave me detailed feedback on all the wetsuits I was considering purchasing. If you want to learn to surf, I would recommend!

(August 15, 2017, 9:24 am)Took my son and two friends. Teacher was friendly, patient and very helpful. Three people were up and surfing within the hour. Didn't need to go out very far to 'catch the waves'. Perfect place to learn. All three enjoyed the lesson and plan on going back.
(August 7, 2016, 1:50 am)This was my first surf lesson and I was really excited to give this a try. When I arrived, the instructor wasn't there but a nice young lady Neve greeted me and offered me a free Italian ice which was very tasty! Then the owner, Ron arrived and was very friendly as he introduced himself and Joe, my instructor. I put on the wetsuit (backwards) but they got me straightened out quickly. Joe and I walked a few blocks down to Nantasket beach where the surfboards were already staged. Joe explained the basics of surfing including safety precautions and body positioning to be able to get from the paddling position to standing on the board to riding a wave. We then headed out into the water. The conditions were amazing and Joe's instruction had me standing up and surfing in about 15 minutes! I highly recommend checking out Northeast Surfing for your first surf lesson or surfboard rental. I can't wait to go there again and go surfing!
