Shortly after beginning my journey at Rockland Recovery, I was told by a highly respected woman in the recovery community that "Rockland Recovery is the Harvard University of addiction treatment". After completing the program I can say with conviction, truer words were never spoken! The counselors at Rockland are nothing short of a miracle; offering hope to those like myself who were utterly hopeless. Having personal experience with the pain and suffering of substance dependence, combined with care, knowledge, and compassion, the staff at Rockland Recovery provides all that is necessary to attain total freedom from the grips of addiction that plagues far too many. To Eddie, Piers, Corey, Adam, Joe, Danny, Bob, Allie and Kim and all the amazing staff, I am eternally grateful to all of you for saving my life! I pray others afflicted with this disease may have the incomparable fortune to find themselves upon the doorstep of Rockland Recovery, so they too can find the new lease on life Rockland afforded me. One day at a time, Rockland Recovery is saving one life at a time.
With love and gratitude,
Jennifer D
I've been a Rockland Recovery for over a week now and have had nothing but a positive experience. Since I've been here it has given me the structure and direction that I needed. The staff has been extremely helpful in helping me acclimate to the house and program. I believe living in this house is the missing piece of the puzzle that will contribute to my prolonged recovery. To those who are serious in furthering their recovery I reccomend this house and program. Sincerely grateful Christopher Ahearn
Rockland Recovery is an amazing program and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to change their life. I came to the house in Rockland directly from jail with a back pack full of clothes and not a hope in the world. Before coming to the program I was a chronically homeless street junkie in Boston, a shell of a human. I was spiritually broken, morally corrupt, completely soul sick looking for anything to get me out of the endless cycle of pain and torture I'd been living in. I was given an opportunity to get well, physically and mentally, while working the 12 steps of AA. I learned how to be a responsible, respectable member of society, a brother to my sister, a son to my parents again. A little over a year later the person I've become is almost unrecognizable in comparison to the sad existence I was stuck in. This program gave me a place to clear my head, pick myself up and become the man I'm supposed to be. I will be forever grateful to Rockland Recovery, and I know that my mother is to.
Rockland Recovery saved my life when I came here almost 11 months ago I was an alcoholic and drug addict of the hopeless variety on multiple forms of medicated assistance. This house emphasize the importance of the AA fellowship coupled with the 12 steps which allowed me to have a perspective change in my life and no longer be a victim Rockland Recovery provides the perfect environment for any drug addict or alcoholic who is willing to go to the necessary lengths in order to change their life. Today I am no longer Addicted to drugs and alcohol and I am taking no mind altering prescriptions and I’ve never been this content my own skin in my whole life. Thank you to Rockland Recovery and Eddie Mcgrath for making this possible I will be forever grateful
I would recommend Rockland Recovery to any men struggling with addiction. When I first moved into the house I was expecting it to be a pit stop on a long hopeless journey of my addiction.I have been to jail and programs and never seemed to get it.After deciding I would do anything to stay sober I came to the rockland house and was instantly welcomed and helped by other addicts and alcoholics, was brought around to all the great meetings in the south shore, paired with a sponsor that started bringing me through the 12 steps. I am now 2.5 years sober because of The leap of faith I took and came to Rockland Recovery
