“Despite the review of negativism the school strives to teach an education to troubled students who just like anyone has their own struggle's in life but they also leave a good impression with the curriculum they offer as far as the individual's are wiling to go. The staff that work their have been doing the job for years and have seen many succeed who walk through the door's with the get up and get it done attitude that might not be possible in a large school setting. I might not be a CEO of a major alternative energy company cause of the life I was given but I am still trying today and seaport and the teachers who try and even are family to the students who walk through the doors some individuals don't even have a family and school is all they have to go to. I watched people struggle their own learning curves and ppl who had their own lives and own problems I was also a student and even today have things that happen in my life I cannot control that may prevent me from achieving a goal. We are all human no one is perfect nor the same”

The name was changed in 1973 for a well known local teacher A W Dalrymple who became superintendent of Schools The complex is located at 46 Grovers Avenue Winthrop, Ma 02152. The School closed in 2005 and remained vacant until October 2014. At that time it was remodeled & opened as Senior Housing. with 27 units in the complex. The Town of Winthrop, HUD, East Boston CDC, East Boston Savings Bank, Metro Management Co, all came together to make this possible. The first residents scheduled to move in on October 16, 2014 were John & Jacqueline Rush. John Is from Charlestown Jackie is from Winthrop and happy to be back to her Home Town of Winthrop. Both are in their 80 years of age The complex is ideally located for seniors, Bus stop is at the corner of Grovers & Crest Avenue. Small convenient stores and Dining is a short walk down Crest Avenue, Winthrop Beach is directly across the Street, a short few minutes walk. On site numbered assigned parking on site. More than enough for residents & guests. The Ride, pick up area is on Crest Avenue side of building complex. The 27 units are all updated with the finest appliances, heat & air conditioning., elevated. Handicapped access, Some handicapped units.Handicapped assigned parking sites. So many different agency's from the Town Of Winthrop, Town Manager, along with HUD, EBSB, EDcdc, Metro management, all blended as one unit to make this vacant building a functioning resident complex.”

“Our son has been enrolled at Odyssey for the better part of a year now, and overall we are very happy. The teachers are great, the facility is new and very clean, and the Brightwheel app is really nice for us to see updates on our son since both of us work (in the app the teachers can post pictures of activities, detail when he has potty breaks and meals, and send updates about the school). Best of all our son seems to have a great time there. Like most parents we looked at several day cares before making a decision and we are glad we ended up at Odyssey.”
