“What a wonderful addition Heather has been to the Atlantic Shores staff and floor! The care and treatment she extends to the residents is remarkable. Heather puts a little extra effort into washing and dressing my mother: choosing her outfits, doing her hair, and making sure she's clean and dry throughout the day. Besides making sure that she's visible in case she's in need, she keeps an eye on the residents, checking on them during meal time, returning to see if they need assistance using the bathroom, and helping to engage them in social activities. I've seen Heather support the activity room staff during special occasions like parties and concerts by moving furniture and also patients to facilitate the activity. Heather has extended that same extra support to me. She's helped to find lost items, communicates with me about my mother's activities in my absence, and she even brought in some clothing that she thought my mother would like because it matched her tastes and style. These actions, and more, reflect a real dedication to the job. I would also like to recognize the nurses, aides, and activity room staff in the memory care unit for their never-ending kindness, patience, and understanding towards all of the residents.
