  Tasty cafe in lake country owned by a remarkable, unassuming chef who achieved remarkable success in Chicago both for her culinary abilities and her philanthropy/give back efforts. The food was v good but I think I most enjoyed learning about the chef from the articles in the hallway. While I was reading them she came out of the kitchen to use the restroom and if I wasn't looking at her photo in a magazine article I would have had no idea who she was. An everyday hero

  This place uses the freshest ingredients and Chef Jackie can cook! She also is known to come out and serve. Great breakfasts and lunches.

  Great little cafe. More on the expensive side. Great food. Coffee was excellent.

  What a wonderful place with a gem of a chef. Chef Jackie is kind and loves her community. While dining at her place last summer, I overheard heard while a regular patron collected a donation for a local church. From the patrons comment, chef Jackie was exceedingly generous. Her only comment was, "Money is meant to be spent on worthy causes". New Buffalo is quite lucky to have a chef of her caliber and generosity in the community.

  Quaint little cafe. Stopped for breakfast on a weekday morning and it was bustling. 2 for breakfast eating cheap was 25 so not an economic choice but the eggs tasted so fresh and were perfectly cooked. Toast was served with a lemon curd and jar of fresh blueberry preserves. Would recommend
