The picturesque setting nestled amidst nature's beauty provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The well-maintained campsites offered ample space and privacy, and the stunning views of Portage Lake were simply breathtaking.
The campground facilities were top-notch, with clean restrooms and hot showers that made camping much more comfortable. The friendly and helpful staff added to the overall positive experience, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
One of the highlights was the abundance of outdoor activities available. We enjoyed hiking the nearby trails, which offered a diverse range of difficulty levels and rewarded us with stunning vistas. Fishing on Portage Lake was a delight, and we even managed to spot some local wildlife during our stay.

(June 24, 2023, 10:23 pm)Campground is just fine and comfortable. Some of the DNR have ego problems and let their position of power go to their head by yelling at patrons and giving them orders before realizing or trying to understand a situation. Typical law enforcement attitude.
(June 7, 2023, 8:32 pm)We love this campsite! It is dog friendly. Everyone is kind and respectful. Great Lake to go swimming at and showers on site for the campground. They sell fire wood and ice if you run out.
