(January 20, 2023, 7:18 pm)Simply the best. Excellent crust, crisp but still soft. Cheese is stringy and flavorful. Toppings are generous and high quality. Sauce that stands up against the crowded dough but isn't so overpowering that you get overwhelmed by it. Their online app/website is easy to use with crust options, bake options and a constantly changing but ever tempting variety of specials. Wait times during dinner, especially on the weekend will hover around 30 minutes, but this chain location beats those estimates most of the time. Price is comparable to Jets or other premium pizza chains, and while it may be fighting words to say it, I believe Green Lantern to be the best pizza in detroit metro. Parking at this location can be troublesome at times so you might want to order delivery during "peak times".
(August 24, 2017, 7:03 pm)Went in on a Saturday, late bout 9:30ish ordered a medium round with pepperoni, ham, hamburger, mushrooms and onion(we're a meat lovers type of family) light sauce, well done. I also asked if they can jus put a butter garlic sauce on the crust I got a "we don't do that here" mmmmkay order the sauce on the side(heck I'll put it on and sum parm cheese too!) I peeked at it before I left, wasn't done well enough, by the time I got it home tho it was completely cold(I only live 6minutes away) my thought here is their ovens aren't hot enough to bring it to a high temperature also they use canned mushrooms so it makes for a wetter pizza(also not allowing the inner core of the pizza to get really hot) the flavour was good, just the execution is a lil off. The dough was jus barely cooked through, too bad because I was having high hopes for this location. Will try it one more time .... t.b.c. UPDATE 8/24/17 Ordered medium Meat Lovers added onion & mushrooms lite sauce well done I stand corrected! This time pizza was crispier with none of the flavour comprised! Also in my order Small Cheese Bread with Bacon and yes well done here they met my expectation Hubby was Happy with that(said that every bit of the bread wad covered in BACON) nicely well done with a good crunch which made the bacon on top even crispier double points there, lastly a small Antipasto Salad extra dressing lettuce was crisp with plenty of toppings. All in all Green Lantern has redeemed themselves in my book! I got a new local pizza place! Jets? Who? Never again, jus keep up the good work and I appreciated the Managers customer service. Nicely Done!
