I loved this place. I spent the night at the “Tru by Hilton” down the road the previous night, and that was a complete disaster. I regrettably opted for that place because it was a bit cheaper. Night and day difference with this one for only $20 more.

The room was spacious, the walls were thick, guests were quiet and better behaved (I know they have no control over this but thought I should mention) and finally the breakfast was not too bad.

One draw back would be the bathroom needs renovation, more specifically the tub. Stand ups are more preferable and the modern norm. I don’t know what psychopath is running a bath in a hotel anyway.
All in all, very good stay and highly recommend!!

Wonderful place on my third day there I had an issue with the people above me talk to the front desk he addressed the problem immediately. When I went down and suggested being moved to another room they did that without any problem Everything was clean and well taken care of. I did notice that like most hotels now they are not cleaning the room every day. I stay at hotels across the country all year long and it seems to be a Detroit thing (never seen this anywhere else) where the guests throw their trash in the hallways instead of keeping it in the room or walking it to a conveniently located trash can by the elevator, but the staff addresses it first thing in the morning. I visit Detroit four or five times a year and unfortunately the place I've been staying for 14 years has deteriorated to the point I needed a new place to stay I truly believe I found it at this location. I wish they had coffee after 9am.

I loved the suite I had reserved. It was very clean I mean so clean there was no dust. The bed was so comfortable. The decor and layout is modern chic. The staff is friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Very quite in the rooms. Every time I return home Holiday Inn Express is where I'll stay.

I’m a regional truck driver and I come stay at this hotel twice a week. It’s always a pleasure. Rooms are kept up with and always clean, friendly service, breakfast every morning and the staff is incredible. Faima is always at the front desk greeting the guests with a smile and a very friendly vibe. Not once have I had a bad experience with her or anyone else for that matter. Other hotels could learn a thing or two from this place. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite hotel to stay at. The comfort and amenities are great for the cost. The walk-in showers with adjustable shower heads are a nice touch. The whole bathroom aesthetic is something I'd love to have in my own home. The beds are comfortable with different pillows for different types of sleepers. The free breakfast in the morning goes above and beyond the typical stale muffin or bagel many hotels offer. The staff is friendly and helpful. I always try to stay here whenever I'm in town.
