Shorehaven

I highly recommend Shorehaven, my mom has lived in the community for almost two years. The staff is always friendly, accommodating and very patient. They offer a wide variety of activities. My mom feels comfortable and safe. She enjoys the meals, entertainment, activities and her new friends.

This past year has been extra challenging with Covid. The staff has been so positive and very creative keeping the residents engaged. They have given the residents as much independence as possible, still keeping them safe and following the ever changing guidelines. I am grateful for the hardworking staff, they are a special group.

My mother, who recently passed away just shy of 99, moved into Shorehaven (Atria at the time) 11 years ago. In those 11 years she was blessed to meet and develop long term friendships with many of the residents and staff.

She always had interesting and exciting activities to participate in that she enjoyed greatly. She tried to do two activities every day. Crafts were her favorite. She played wii bowling, attended various exercise classes, and sang in the Shorehaven choir. They also had many learning activities such as learning to draw, do watercolor paintings, make greeting cards and act in plays put on by the residents.

The facilities were well kept. Her apartment was on the lake side of the building so she could look out and enjoy the lake which was very relaxing.

The many of the staff and residents that she was close to were particularly caring and attentive toward the end. This speaks volumes to the friendships and relationships that can be developed and nurtured at Shorehaven.

I am a resident at Shorehaven. I moved in the 1st part of May last year. I have been very impressed how the staff knows every resident by name. I have profound respect for Bobbi, Cheryl and Linda in the Life Enrichment Dept. They work so hard to motivate and engage us in activity programs and bringing everyone together. The houskeeping department and caregivers have been very supportive and take good care of me.

I have played music for the folks at Shorehaven for over 10 years. I have found the management to be friendly and organized. The people I have played for have become part of my extended family. The enjoyment experienced in playing for them goes both ways. Truly a win-win. I look forward to seeing them all again.

My mom moved to Shorehaven in January 2020, just before the COVID-19 concerns. She enjoyed socializing with others at meals and activities. The staff has been so kind in trying to keep the residents positive and safe during this difficult time. Everyone is friendly and caring. While newsletters and emails keep us informed, Heather and the front desk staff are ready to answer any questions we have. We are looking forward to the return of normal activities now that vaccinations are scheduled.
