“Lovely park with a walking track 5/8 of a mile around. 8 laps makes 5 miles. Several benches to look out over the water. Small beach which has been closed for years. Lots of pollution in that lake with sewage drain off. Very disappointing metro Detroit and Canada dump into this large lake. Very pretty lake views. In the summer, the city puts on Wednesday evening concerts. LOTS of people show up.”

“This park is clean and safe. No sketchy areas where your kids can sneak off and get lost. The play structure was updated in 2019 and the pathway around the park is smooth for running. There are benches and plenty of shade to enjoy a relaxing outing with your family. There is plenty of open field for backyard style games too.”

“Great Place to take the kids for the splash pad and views of the water. Some of the playground equipment is rather dated, but still functional. They just installed a live seawall, which does a couple things that a typical park does not do. It protects the land from consistent erosion, as well as provide a LOT of help to the aquatic ecosystem, which helps in the conservation of fish species. If you don't have a boat, and you get there early enough, you can get out to the end of the dock, and get a good fishing spot. They have bathrooms, boat launch, horse shoes, pavilions, with rentals, basketball courts, a very well maintained splash pad, and I think they are adding even more amenities. It does cost to enter the park, but its well worth it, if you want the experience. I full recommend this place, everyone should go here at least 1 time.”

“Lady at bar pointed this park out for me today- by club in the rear- hope I have the right one. Never carried a weapon but did live overseas so believe I don't have the veterans official status. “Beautiful spot to go and swim...yes swim you can swim behind the dam about 7 1/2 feet at the deepest also a great place to see wildlife I hunt snakes and I go here to find copperheads.....stay away from the reeds also a lot of crawfish and bullfrogs. A wonderfull spot to go fishing as well as treasure hunting found a gold ring here once”
