they gave my cat the best quality of life when he was diagnosed with lymphoma, I recommend OVRS to everyone who needs specialized care for their pets. They really care about your pets and you can tell that they want what’s best for them
We recently had to put down our beloved 16 year old dog, Cooper, after a brief illness. This was a very difficult decision, but once made, OVRS was our choice. While not our regular veterinary practice, we have relied on them in the past for emergency care.
Their staff was extremely sympathetic to our situation and since I called ahead they were ready for us.
Upon arrival we were escorted to a room immediately so we didn’t have to wait in public.
Once my dog was prepped, we were able to spend as much time as we needed.
The nurses and physicians were kind, caring, empathetic, supportive, and professional.
Dr Bula explained the process, and when it was time, she handled things perfectly. It was quick, painless, and we held him as he slipped away.
We had done the paperwork and payment in advance (the pricing and fees/options were explained clearly) so when we were done we were able to leave though a back door.
While this was one of the worst days of our lives, OVRS and their team really took care of us and our fur baby and we can’t thank them enough.
If you need emergency/specialized/surgical/euthanasia care, I highly recommend them.
Back in January, our aging canine partner collapsed in the middle of the night. We called OVRS to see if someone could look at him - the receptionist and the vet techs were extremely empathetic and supportive.
Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our distinguished fellow that night, but the staff and doctor were nothing short of compassionate, understanding and caring of our grief.
We were able to make a good decision with the information we had, the doctor was up front and was openly invested in Pepper's quality of life. My wife and I appreciated his counsel and approach.
If we ever have another emergency, these guys will be the first place we go in the future.
To the staff - thank you so much for the care during the time and the card and remembrances afterwards, it helped us through the grief of a long loved friend.
My pup is now 10years old. But I thank OVRS so much for saving his life when he was just 6 months old. He’s still a happy pup who loves to run around, in shorter spurts now, with mild arthritis but he is doing great. The staff was amazing, good communicators when you’re experiencing your worst nightmare, and the facility was clean and very high tech! Thank you.
We had a really big scare with our puppy, Gordie, last week and our vet suggested we go to the ER. They recommended OVRS. From the minute we walked in, we were treated so well and with so much care. The nurse who first spoke to us was so patient with our puppy. Upon doing some tests, the doctor dealing with us broke the news to us that we needed to do immediate surgery, but in the most gentle and caring way. She answered all of our questions, as well as the nurse who came in afterwards. The surgeon herself called us right after the surgery and they continued to keep us updated after the surgery until he was ready to come home. When we went to go pick him up, even though he was a little drowsy, you can tell how little fear he had there and I know it’s because of how well they treated him. He also had the looooongest pee of his life inside the lobby and instead of getting a funny look, the nurse couldn’t stop laughing and made us way less embarrassed about it! She also gave us the sock that was stuck in his belly, which was the reason for all of this and, again, helped us make light of a really scary situation. As a bonus, they treated our other dog who came along with us like a special guest and he was smiling from ear to ear, even though he wasn’t there for himself! Luckily, Gordie is very much back to his normal self and we have OVRS to thank. What started as such an awful situation was made to be such an amazing vet experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here for any emergency or to recommend anyone else. Thank you to such a wonderful staff and for helping our little guy!
