Farmington Martial Arts

Farmington Martial Arts is great! My daughter has been going for over a year and has learned so much and has so much fun. The owners are very welcoming and the young instructors are great with the kids. Come for your kids stay for the dad jokes. 😂

One of the best decisions we made was to sign our girls up at Farmington Martial Arts. The Duncan's truly care for every student that walks through the door. They make the classes fun while teaching discipline, respect and confidence. I wish I could give 10 stars!!

We love this place. Not only is it something my 7 year old loves and has been excited to do for about 8 months now, but this place has been a truly beneficial investment for our child. There’s plenty of hands on deck to help with individual instruction, even the little ones I have seen learn patterns during full classes. I have seen my child’s confidence grow with this program, and it has aided him with meeting other milestones that will serve him throughout his development.
Dojo is always clean. The owners will let you do make up days because kids always get sick, and are always very nice and understanding. You feel like family with them, they truly care about their students, and are skilled with communicating with them.
If you are looking for a place for your child to have a constructive but fun and safe physical outlet, this is the place.

Farmington Martial Arts is a great martial arts school! The curriculum is challenging yet fun and the staff are all very knowledgeable and supportive. It is very family friendly and several parents and their kids train there, including mine! Couldn't ask for a better place for my kids to learn a life skill, get physically fit, make new friends, and gain confidence and poise at the same time!

I honestly cannot say enough praise for Farmington Martial Arts. Our son has been attending class here for just over a year now. The owners (Mr and Mrs Duncan) are just amazing people. They truly care about all the students, and it's easy to tell how much the students love them back given how excited they all are to come to class.

Our son has learned to work hard and practice often in order to move up in belt rankings, and also has such a feeling of accomplishment when he gets promoted. He dreams of earning his way to a blackbelt, which I think is a great goal, and one that FMA can help students achieve.

I'll also add that the Duncans teach the kids to be responsible with what they learn: "never misuse what I learn in class" the kids say. This isn't your Cobra Kai kind of karate from the 80s movie. These kids are learning self defense.

In the age of COVID, you'll find staff cleaning the place top to bottom between classes, having everyone socially distanced, and all the things you'd expect to keep the kids safe while still having fun and learning.

Honestly, if you're thinking of getting your kids in to karate, I really could not over recommend enrolling them at FMA.
