Cedarbrook of Rochester

We recently moved my Mother-In-Law to Cedarbrook in Rochester. It was a lengthy process over 2-yrs as we visited many facilities and waited for the right time for her. Jacob Shorkey was terrific throughout the whole time! We never felt pressured to rush into the decision. He welcomed us back each time we visited. When the timing was right, Jacob and Theresa Morris made the move happen smoothly. Theresa made sure every detail was handled. The employees have all worked to make sure the adjustment went well! After just a few weeks, she is doing great and is enjoying meeting new people and getting involved in the activities available!

It has been great to get to know the staff at Cedarbrook Rochester. Jacob Shorkey and Colleen Irvin make you feel welcomed every time. I highly recommend working with this team to provide any kind of living for a loved one.

The care, concern and welcoming that we have witnessed by many staff members is heart warming and very effective. Our mom has been more engaged, active, responsive and cared for than she ever was at her former facility.

My mother and our family are so thankful for her move to Cedarbrook of Rochester one year ago. She moved from a well know senior building in downtown Birmingham that just does not compare.
I cannot say enough about the staff and their genuine caring for my Mom and her well being. I have developed a wonderful relationship with Jacob Shorkey. He has personally addressed some of my Mom's immediate needs. One of my neighbors recently met with Jacob and I am hopeful that he moves to Cedarbrook.
Erin and McKenna are wonderful and professional on the front desk. Julie the activities director is full of energy and positivity. Cedarbrook staff in general are personal and warm. The furnishings, artwork, food, and activities have much to offer anyone who lives there. I am proud that my Mother is part of the Cedarbrook of Rochester community.

Cedarbrook of Rochester is a beautiful property. More importantly, the staff that work here truly care about your loved ones. I cannot say enough good things about Jacob Shorkey and Theresa Morris. These two make everything so easy and they are always so pleasant to interact with. We have had to leverage both their assisted living floor as well as independent living floor. Moving between the two levels of care was seamless, even during the pandemic. The only reason why I did not provide a 5 star is because I think there is opportunity for improvement with the Independent Living meals. While they are absolutely delicious, they could be more heart healthy paying closer attention to low sodium, lower sugars, and lower fat content.
