(July 8, 2020, 7:33 pm)I recently switched from a chain (optimeyes) to Oakland Optometry and couldn't be happier! Dr. Roy makes regular check ups quick and easy and they were very helpful when picking out glasses. I also appreciate that they keep a large selection of Maui Jims in stock...most places are overrun by Raybans but Oakland Optometry's selection of Maui Jim sunglasses is excellent 👌

My son, who is 14, sees a different optometrist and unfortunately they did not have a wide selection. I am so glad I found this place, the selection of glasses here are amazing. Stephanie was working and helped him find the perfect match. I appreciate good service as a walk in customer, especially with an impatient teenager. Thank you, Stephanie!!!
(May 8, 2013, 3:19 pm)After many years going to an optometry office in Troy I decided it was time to make a change and made an appointment with Oakland Optometry in Rochester for my yearly eye exam. I knew right away my decision to switch was the correct one. My eye exam was what I believe to me the most thorough one I have had in years. In addition, Dr. Roy recommended I switch to daily contacts vs. monthly contacts which I did and love. I would recommend Dr. Roy if you need an eye exam in Rochester or in the surrounding area.
The staff (Ann Marie and Stephanie) was very friendly and professional. They took time to show me many different styles of prescription sunglasses – no pressure sales which I appreciated. I found a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses which I love as well.
