Longlong art studio is an amazing place to start and grow as an artist. I studied with Mrs. Longlong for many years, and I was able to establish a strong art foundation and explore various art mediums and techniques. Under her guidance, I learned to appreciate and enjoy art! Mrs. Longlong encourages and inspires students to become better artists and people. If you are looking for an amazing, supportive teacher who has built a welcoming and fun art community, you can do no better than Mrs. Longlong!
My son is 21 now, he started Learning art from Longlong since he was only six. He had enjoyed art ever since. Miss Longlong always try to keep his creativity all the times, which give him freedom for imagination. He took drawing class from Longlong for 7-8 years. Now he is a junior in college, he kept drawing as his favorite hobby. He make drawing birthday gifts for his friends. I am so proud of him. And happy to see he obtained a skill for life and a way to enjoy life better.
I’ve been a student at Longlong Art Studio for 4 years, and have honestly loved every second of my experience. When I moved to Michigan in the middle of 8th grade, this place was the first community that welcomed me with open arms. The people there were friendly and diverse, and it was overall a very constructive environment to be exploring art. Mrs. Longlong is very invested in each student’s growth and always pushes us to become better artists. After a few years, I began working for her as an assistant teacher and the experience has been just as amazing as being a student. I’d say that the classes are very project-oriented and you will always have a portfolio of artwork you’re working on.
Some classes I took there:
Sketching/Portraiture Classes: We sat in a circle and practiced drawing each other in various poses while offering friendly critiques of each other’s work. Afterward, we would have asynchronous time to work on individual projects (usually art competition submissions) and could get help from the teachers.
Painting Classes: In the classes I took, we would work on individual projects while teachers walked around offering help. Sometimes we go to nearby parks for field studies and landscape paintings (Stony Creek Metro Park).
Drawing Classes: The teacher usually starts off with a warmup, or a lesson about art concepts (shading, texturing, etc) for the first half of class time before directing students to work on projects.
Been taking classes for years. Many programs and opportunities for participating in competitions and learning new art mediums.
Great art studio for kids to learn and grow. Teachers are knowledgeable and patient. Studio won many awards for their excellent art work. My kids have been enjoying their classes for years.
