Nursing programs do not give you much experience in starting IV's or drawing blood for the lab.
What is even worse, during clinicals in the hospital, students are not allowed to start IV's or draw blood. Therefore, before I made another career move, I decided to take Medright Inc's course "Phlebotomy and IV skills for Nurses and Advanced Providers", and I am so glad I did. After only 3 class days, I have gained the confidence I need to perform the skill of Phlebotomy and IV starts on my own! The class was relaxed, fun AND very informative! The owner, Gail Lucas, is very kind, organized, knowledgeable and tailors her instruction to her students. The classroom environment is very clean, inviting and relaxed. It was money well spent and I learned what I needed, to advance my career. Take your Phlebotomy/IV class at Medright Inc, you will be glad you did!
