(September 21, 2022, 2:21 am)I just began experiencing Waterford, MI recently. I drove by this restaurant/sports bar a number of times in the morning before it opened for the day. My wife and I ate there recently and we enjoyed ourselves. The parking lot may look full, but this establishment has a large amount of seating. This establishment is both a restaurant AND a sports bar!!! As you walk in the door you're on the sports bar side. There are numerous, interesting decorations on this side. There's a large bar with seating and numerous low top tables with large screen TVs throughout the room showing different sports. From the door you can see another equally large room full of low top tables like your regular local restaurant. This side is more of a family style restaurant with alcohol. The food and alcohol prices are reasonable. The food is very good and the restaurant staff is pleasant and attentive. I will be coming back often.
(July 24, 2022, 11:26 pm)There's the smell of pizza as you walk in the door, and there was a slight wait, but the wall of famous players keeps you occupied. Food was delicious! Tables were a bit cramped, but they weren't hurting for business. I would have loved to hang out more as they had plenty of TVs to watch the latest games! If my brother wasn't moving I would come back again during football season!
(July 21, 2022, 6:43 pm)Lions Den is a Waterford tradition. It's been here forever. The menu is pretty large and the food is good. Popcorn on the table and fresh bread sticks with most entries. I had the Blue Cheese Traverse City salad with blackened chicken and my wife had the pecan chicken salad. Both good meals. If you're looking for a good home town place, you can't go wrong with Lion's Den.
(July 6, 2022, 7:06 pm)This restaurant is delicious! I read a couple idiotic reviews that are not true. I almost didn't go here. Thank goodness I went it was the nicest of Staff ever and the food was unbelievable everything was fresh and made so well! you just have to go it's delicious I had the perch but everything I had was delicious The food was homemade delicious and fresh I can't Rave about this restaurant go! Just go. delicious
(June 2, 2022, 11:45 pm)Local place been there forever and we have not. Seemed like basic old style Rams Horn or other mid-level restaurant. Style not surprising. Welcomed nicely and sat immediately. Server excellent!
We came for pizza and burgers (locals say really good!) but ended up all four of us ordering fish of various plates. Plenty of food!! Sautéed perch excellent. Fish and chips good. Blackened whitefish with all vegetable side was outstanding! Fresh, flavorful, hot, and enough for leftovers.
Don’t care for plastic glasses for water or soda, and margaritas were small.
BUT, prices are really reasonable and we will definitely go back. Really fun to see regulars hugging various workers! Great warm homey place. Enjoy!
