(September 28, 2019, 8:29 am)On September 25, Wint Nature Center hosted the monthly meeting of the Clarkston-area Backyard Birders Club. This was a special meeting requiring a room properly equipped and large enough to accommodate the anticipated sixty or more attendees. Raejean Heiser, of the resourceful Wint staff, welcomed our guests and she and her colleagues did a superb job ensuring an enjoyable evening for all. Many of our members had heard about Wint but had not yet visited this outstanding gem so conveniently located but yet so serene and natural it was as if being in Michigan's northlands. The Center itself has displays and programs appealing and educational for everyone--youngsters to oldsters. All in all, a wonderful resource--preserved, protected and conveniently accessible to those who appreciate our precious natural places.
