I am an Air Force veteran. The Reginal Office helps veteran to see if they qualify for a pension, has attorneys to see if you need to to quality and has a Vocational Rehabilitation office if you have 10% Pensions. Due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic and the Delta/Omegron Variant to go to Reginal you must have been certified to go to Bay Pines Veterans Administration in the first place and must have an appointment through the VA site or the police won't let you in. To go to The Voc Rehab they work over the phone and only will see you in person when your counselor in your college calls them to refer you and you have done an application first. They had a canteen on the second floor but due to Covid it is closed. Room 222 is where the police goes with you to certify and to talk to Voc Rehab over the phone. I have only been to the second floor and no other floors. They check your property on you and everything in your pockets go through a x-ray machine. Then you walk through a machine that will buzz if they sense anything metal and if it does the police will wand you so never bring anything that is metal like a knife etc. If you have a walker and it will the buzzer will go off the police will check your pouch and return your property and everything in your pockets as well as your VA identification card or any ID like your driver's license or Passport or Identification card as they require it when you enter The facility. They do assist those in wheelchairs as the metal in the wheelchair will cause the buzzer to buzz. Let them know if you have any metal enplants in your body because they will cause the buzzer to buzz too. They are very serious about nothing metal not even a nail filer as they confiscate it. If you do anything Illegal there like bringing in a weapon you will be arrested and find yourselves in jail. I do love Bay Pines Veterans Administration and Alice in 222 in Regional did her best to help me and she loved my late little Chihuahua service animal dog Chi-Chi Rodriguez who graduated to the Rainbow Bridge and has his Angel Dog Wings who is waiting for God to call me to Heaven so he and I can go to Heaven together.
Was good to visit va. And meeting nice courteous staff.
