“Very clean facility. Ben, Greg, the morning shift supervisor, and Toby are always wiping, mopping, and filling up disinfectant bottles. Very appreciative of the clean environment. Staff members are also very friendly and welcoming. Toby is always available to provide personal training, as well. He is a very patient and friendly guy. One thing I wish this location had is the Hammer Strength pull down machine. Overall, this is a great place to work out.”

“When I walked into the studio I was greeted and given a quick but thorough informative tour. The studio offers hair styling, child care, a breastfeeding room, lactation services, a peaceful work-space, and several yoga classes. Some of the yoga classes are for both moms and babies. I was enrolled in the yoga chill class. The class was very small with a few moms and soon to be moms. The room was almost completely dark with just a few candles string lights. The environment was very calming and the low volume music helped me to focus more on my breathing. We did toe squats, table pose, the butterfly, fetal position, child position, and a few positions utilizing the wall. The class was so calm I nearly went to sleep in the deep relaxation portion of the class. It was great and I would recommend this studio for moms and soon to be moms. I felt very welcome and would like to take another class or possibly enroll in a membership.”

“I've been to a lot of yoga studios in the past and YogaSix is a great modern yoga facility! YogaSix offers a variety of class types; my favorites are sculpt, hot, power, and slow flow. I love the variety in the schedule, with plenty of morning and evening sessions offered (yay for those with busy calendars filled with work, kids, or classes!). Some studios can feel very cliquey, but YogaSix RH is far from that. They have a super welcoming wellness advisor team and knowledgeable and supportive instructors who offer encouraging guidance and gentle adjustments.”

“Ever since I fell in love with so many small businesses in the Metro Detroit area, this past September I spent a bit of time looking for a fitness studio that offers hybrid (virtual and in-person Live) classes. One of them I found was Mid American Fitness. I EASILY fell in love with the studio despite living a half day drive away! *FYI: A drive from my hometown in the Hudson Valley or from Stony Brook University is 12+ hours away from the studio.* So for obvious reasons, I have just been joining virtually. My first ever class was with Ericka, one of my favorite instructors. I heard she’s had so many years of experience, which I truly love and appreciate. I exposed myself to so many new workouts I’ve never tried before. Stony Brook University’s Recreation Center has all the equipment I need so I can follow along with the in-person people. I’m very happy that I never had to pay extra money just to buy my own equipment. I’m also super happy that Mid American Fit continues to offer virtual spots even now, since the first few weeks of the pandemic and I only started joining this past fall. My only complaint is that Stony has very strict mask mandates inside the Rec Center, which may sometimes prevent me from fully following along. Other than that, I LOVE all the instructors and everything about Mid American Fitness itself so much!”
