Brauer Preserve

A good place to be outdoors. No facilities though and a smallish parking lot.

Couple of nice trails.. one main flat grass trail other is like deer trail. Skirts around some fields. Spent maybe 2 hours strolling around.

I think this place is pretty awesome. Some very cool terrain including woodlands and fields, plus some swampy marsh area. A perfect hike for a 50-60 degree day. It can be very mucky and wet from time to time, so I'd recommend wearing boots and bringing bug spray if it's warmer than 60 degrees out. You can find a variety of wildlife such as deer, chipmunks, and some birds around.

I love the different terrains. The wetlands, the woods, the expansive fields. It’s such a hidden treasure in the midst of farm country. The trails are not well marked, but if you take a photo of the map at the trail head, you should be fine. ♥️ 🌳

Very nice mixed woodlands, grasslands, and swamp. Lots of wild mulberries and blackberries for your enjoyment in the summer. Yes, you have to watch out for the mosquitoes in the marshy section, but nothing a little bug spray can't handle. Not many people come here despite it being on a somewhat major road, so you definitely won't have to worry about crowds. Nice habitat variety, quiet, easy to get to, and very pretty (my favourite section is the big grassy hill!).
