My dog hurt himself over the holiday weekend and had us worried. I called and was able to get a same day appointment despite not being an established patient yet. All staff were very friendly and explained everything thoroughly - including his x-rays. Prices felt reasonable and were less than I was anticipating to pay. We'll be returning with both of our dogs in the future!
Tech was very reassuring and addressed every one of my questions. Doctor was very thorough, I really appreciated getting to see the X-rays as well. I really appreciated the service provided by all of the staff. Although it was costly to perform all of the various diagnostic tests, it seemed clear that if the cost was too great the antibiotics could be prescribed as a likely solution. However, I was grateful to have the peace of mind knowing we hadn’t missed anything.
After my visit, the doctor called to share the test results. As I played the voicemail, his first words were to inquire how my cat was feeling. Again when I returned the call he asked me how she was. Having had many pets over the years, I was pleasantly surprised by his concern for her wellbeing. It seems it should be obvious, but this basic compassion seems to be a rarity in my experience.
I later realized another of the doctors at this practice had worked at another animal hospital in the area many years ago, when my dog was a puppy. This doctor was also exceptionally kind, even supportive of my raw feeding plan over a decade ago when every one told me I was crazy. Since he left that animal hospital so many years ago, my furry family has bounced from one vet to another, always looking for this exceptional level of service again.
I had to take my OEB to get a major surgery. This place saved my dogs life! I just want to say thank you to the staff. They were great and answered all of my questions. They did a bladder surgery, he gets kidney stones. I get more time with Fred!! Thank you so much!!!
My kitty was seen on Wednesday 09/27/2023. I called the office at 11am and was seen at 11:20am the same day.
My cats may be silly, goofy babies, but I don’t play games when it comes to their health.
Charlie scared me so bad when I woke up this morning. I watched him try to urinate in front of the litter box for a moment, then he growled at himself and began licking his peen. That’s an immediate trip to the vet.
Canton Animal Hospital got Charlie an appointment 20 minutes later and took Charlie right back when I walked in. They did an X-ray, bloodwork, urinalysis and got him set up with meds. Thankfully he was not blocked, but he has some crystals again.
Everyone was so kind and professional. The Vet, Dr Prabhu, was on his game. He brought me back to show me the images they took, every thing checked out! Dr Prabhu was very knowledgeable and had a very friendly disposition, which personally helped alleviate alot of my panic and worry. The techs were phenomenal. The tech who took him back for X-rays was very gentle with Charlie and he compounded the hell outta Charlie’s meds. Shout out to the Ladies working the front, they’ve always been a pleasure to work with.
If you know anything about urinary blockages and crystals in male cats, you should know that it’s ALWAYS a life or death emergency situation. Do not hesitate to take your kitty to the vet if you notice similar symptoms.
$471 and less than 1 hour later, he’s home, medicated and the food has been switched.
Emergency veterinarian services aren’t cheap, but $471 is the most reasonable price I’ve paid. Blue Pearl has charged me at least $2.5k for similar services in the past, at that’s just to walk in the door.
Thanks again to everyone at Canton Animal Hospital. You guys rock.

We recently adopted a young rescue cat and he needed to be seen right away. We were able to get an appointment the same day. The doctors and staff were so wonderful. We are so very thankful for the great care that our dear Benny received - thank you all so much - he feels so much better!!
