My papa is there right now, and the staff is very kind and willing to work with him with whatever he needs. He is constantly checked on, as opposed to when he was in the hospital it was like pull teeth just to have someone check in on him or give us any information!

My mom lived in independent living for 6 years and has been in assisted living for more than one year. The staff continues to be caring and compassionate doing all they can to provide a happy and safe home environment. A variety of activities and outings are offered encouraging residents to engage with staff and other residents. The aides and management go above and beyond to take great care of my mom!

It is important to be clear that The Terrace Memory Care unit was completely separate and different from the rehab and skilled nursing units, with different management and staff.

My mom was at The Terrace in memory care for 4+ years. I was so gratified that many of the caregivers were the same people for all those years. Stable staffing is so important. Mom was able to form bonds with several of them and they with her. They would take time to be 1-on-1 with her and engage her in activity that they knew she liked. They got to know her as an individual and she liked to give hugs and a kiss on the cheek to her favorite people. They became her "anchors" and extended family to keep her as functional as possible. There were so many creative enrichment activities and outings into the community.
She was able to have her own furniture and wall hangings from her home, which helped with her transition to living here. They even painted her room to match the color of her living room at her former house. This was truly a place where she could LIVE, not just be warehoused.
I live 2500 miles away and could only visit every few weeks. They would send me emails, texts and photos to keep me up-to-date on her activities and her status between my visits. A couple of times they arranged a video call on the phone so we could visit with her. I had a lot of peace of mind knowing she was well cared for. Being attached to an independent living community made it very convenient for us to reserve a guest room and get meals at the Bistro when we visited. I felt that they took care of us as well as mom.

My dad was at Beaumont Commons for six years. He received excellent care there and was treated with love and respect. The staff treated him like he was their own father. Toshia Smith-Pearson and Ashlee Garcia went above and beyond to make sure my dad was comfortable and well cared for. I would highly recommend Beaumont Commons. The communication was great, my father and our family were kept in the know of everything going on. The inside is warm and inviting and the grounds are perfect for afternoon walks or just to relax outdoors. There are a lot of activities, day trips and social/holiday events to keep busy! There are also several dining options, a movie theater, a chapel, a salon, a gym, a bank and several other amenities.

If anyone is thinking of moving into an independent or an assisted living complex, I highly recommend Beaumont
Commons. I recently moved here and I feel I made the right decision. The people that work here are amazing, pleasant, and very helpful. And the residents are just as great with always a pleasant greeting, smile or conversation. Then you have all the beautiful grounds to enjoy. I especially like the Japanese Garden! Fabulous!
