Cakes and Shakes Deli

I’ve only tried one item on the menu, the chocolate cake,, and it was delicious.

I came in today for some rum cake. It was just coming out of the oven so I came back a little later. It was still warm and so good. I also got a piece of German chocolate cake. Both pieces of cake were very moist. The staff is so nice and helpful.

The owner was working the day I visited. She was kind, patiently waiting on customers, assuring the customer got what they wanted, she was generous in the restaurant offering.
The visit was extraordinary, the cakes are delicious there are many varieties available. Visit and delight yourself in pure deliciousness and great hospitality.

AMAZING dessert shop, but don't sleep on the sandwiches! We ordered 18 sandwiches, fries, and a rum cake for a company holiday lunch. Cakes & Shakes came thru to the highest degree. Every sandwich was made with care. Ingredients were fresh and high quality. The Woodward Ave. had the best caramelized onions I have ever tasted. The friendly staff were a cherry on top of the experience. We will be back for sure!
