We saw Stacy while she was still practicing at UofM for our infant with tongue tie, failure to transfer any milk during breastfeeding, and subsequently she also helped with when he developed laryngomalacia from GERD. She has incredible skill working with infants, being able to rapidly assess and treat, while putting the baby at ease. She gave us detailed instructions on home therapies, and taught us to our level. She adapted exercises as my baby grew. She is always available and cares deeply for the patients she sees. Stacy is the best OT we have seen out of the many, and we can't recommend her enough.
We could not feel more grateful for the help we received from Stacy! Our little one was born tongue tied, lip tied, had reflux and experienced frequent illness leading to many difficulties with bottle feeding. We felt like we had tried EVERYTHING to help our baby eat comfortably meeting with lactation consultants, pediatricians, revising her tongue tie and lip tie, trying different bottles/nipples/formulas, etc. and nothing seemed to be working. Stacy really helped us turn things around taking a very holistic approach in guiding us through our options. She was kind, supportive, understanding, and approachable allowing us to feel comfortable during such a vulnerable time in our parenting. Our daughter is now gaining weight, enjoying her bottles and doing well while starting solid food only 3 months later! It's such a relief to get to enjoy this part of parenting, and we owe so much of that to Stacy's help. If you are experiencing similar challenges, you will not regret meeting with Stacy :)
Stacy is a miracle worker. She helped us transition our tube-fed, oral-averse infant back to bottle feeding, then helped him strengthen his muscles to pass the swallow study. She never made me feel silly for asking approximately one million questions and her advice & recommendations left me feeling empowered and hopeful during an incredibly stressful time. He's now a happy, thriving toddler with no feeding issues whatsoever. I fully credit Stacy, her hard work and incredibly kind and compassionate style with our success and I am so grateful we found her.
