Good place for recreation
Very beautiful. A nice walk and right by the library. Before this was built, I remember there was an old, small pavilion where they held outdoor events and concerts.
Beautiful, serene memorial garden.
This was my First Time visiting the Memorial, it was very educational it explained about each War that the USA was in. If you get a chance Check it out very informative..🙏👏📷
The Veterans Memorial Garden of Westland is a beautifully landscaped area.
It is an honor to view this testament and memorial to the brave and valorous who have fought to defend our nation, our fortunes and, not least, our lives.
Each of the major conflicts is noted at this location with accompanying text on the particular monument detailing the monumental deeds and courage of those involved. Included are the Revolutionary War all the way to modern times, including the War of 1812, the War with Mexico, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War 1, World War 2, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Iraq, Afghanistan and others.
A tribute to the men and women who fought these battles and gave their lives to ensure our freedoms and liberties.
Located close to the Westland Public Library it is a good place to bring school children from late middle school through all the high school years for a ground in history and to touch their heritage and what is necessary to keep it so.
