Field Elementary School

Address: 1000 Haggerty Rd, Canton, MI 48188, USA

School

“I would give it 5 star, but my daughter doesn't seem to enjoy going there. I think it was a big transition coming from New jersey schools, and adjusting to the sensitive environment they have created for kids was kindda difficult. after a month of reminders and talking to principle and teacher, I have learned to like the school The Principle Mr. Kudlack is a nice man, treats every kids like his own. Teachers are very friendly, and understanding. I think the class environment are very relaxed. I just wish the grading system would switch from improvement or improving to A, B, C grading. I think it's the teachers the curriculum should be a little bit harder, kids should have spelling tests and stuff. My daughter just finds school boring, unless she READS something new, otherwise it's very easy for her, and she gets bored. and I think that's why she doesn't like going here. PROS: great teachers, and a great Principle CONS: curriculum (I don't think that it's the staff's fault, but still)”

The owner was flexible to finding a schedule and plan that worked - (I work an hour away plus extra with a high traffic commute). My daughter has grown, developed and learned so much in the Toddler room, which she transitioned to just a couple of months ago. Ms. Helen and her team are just amazing.”

One more thing the staff and students here are amazing I'm also considering living with my dad to be able to go to this school again. Good job and Keep up the Great work!”

Oxford Middle School

Address: 1420 Lakeville Rd, Oxford, MI 48371, USA

School

“Whoever mentioned that its "wrong" to openly talk about suicide and mental illness... reality check... it's NOT. Mental illness is a huge problem and the schools are trying to make people more aware--to stop people from making assumptions about someone they've never met. Not speaking publicly about it only pressures those affected further into their shells. Besides that, the staff and teaching regimen is great. The only complaints I have are the "A, B, C and D" days, and and students themselves (however, that's another story and not a unique detriment to the school). There is not a very good explanation for classes and creating your schedule. There are no mandatory mathematics tests and you could find yourself in a class too easy for you, rather than ahead.”

Crothers Elementary School

“I vote here. It's an ok place to vote. 5 star ok! I never voted anywhere else, so I am not sure if it is bad...”

Macomb Children's Academy

“We had the best experience at MCA for my 4 year old kid Sahana kowsik. She has developed tremendously as this is her 1st preschool after daycare and 1 year of break at home due to pandemic, we would be thankful to Ms. Smita and Ms. Waafa for showing her and other children all love and the care they needed. All the staffs are so loving and caring special mention to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa,Ms.Aari,Ms.Thomas, Ms.Nancy,Ms.Chris,Ms.Reni,Ms. Allyson. We had to relocate to sandiego couple of weeks ago but my kid keeps saying about her classroom friends and teachers 24×7 and says wants to go back to MCA after she comes from school she would enact and play her classroom scenarios with her soft toys as her friends, herself and me as Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa. She loves her classmates and Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa as they do so. Even I am so addicted to talk and play with my kid about her classroom. The best thing happened in her life is being a MCA student, I wish I had known about this place earlier and enrolled her from toddler program itself as they're in practice for more than 15yrs. We had to relocate otherwise she would be still going to Ms.Smita's classroom at MCA. My kid loves the place and the gift letters given to her from her friends and school. Ms.Smita has so much positivity and ever smiling face which influences the kids that even I take her as an example on this is how I need to be with my kid. Their education methodology is the best around Detroit as my kid was attending couple of daycares around until she was 3, I can compare her learning and behavioral development after going to MCA. Most importantly teaching is based on montessori methodology through activities taught to kids with love and care. She's eating by herself now thanks to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa and Ms. Nancy. Thanks to Ms. Aari for teaching spanish and engaging the kids with the exercise song and dance moves. My kid perfectly teaches us that song since beginning. She recently started full-time just for 3 weeks before our move and enjoyed time with Ms. Chris arts and crafts classes. Overall MCA is the best thing happened to my kid and us in Detroit and Ms.Smita's classroom is the only thing we miss now. Lots of love to you MCA, Ms. Smita, Ms. Waafa and all the classroom friends(its a big list to write their names) from Sahana, I am hopeful that she will always remember all of you as this is her 1st school experience. Thanks to Ms. Thomas and MCA office for giving Sahana an opportunity(enrollment) to be a MCA student.”

Orion Oaks Elementary School

Address: 1255 Joslyn Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48360, USA

School

“Ah! What can I say about OO? Amazing school. My son started preschool there with Miss Shar and Miss Lisa. Those ladies are amazing. Loving and great teachers. He thrived there. His first and second grade teacher was Dr. Dandalides (yes I said DOCTOR). How many public schools have that? Besides having a fancy title she is an amazing teacher who works on your child's weakness while reinforcing their strengths. Their principal Mr. Neuss greets the children outside (rain or shine) to say hello and start their day on a positive note. Love this. Sadly we will not be going there next year as they have changed up the school district and it's no longer a multi-age school or a school of choice. if you are looking at this district or in it - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

Amerman Elementary School

Address: 847 N Center St, Northville, MI 48167, USA
