I love this place! It's super close to home, very clean and quiet. Pets are allowed too.
Very nice campground -- in a county park, no less. One can barely see other campers, and with the CG barely occupied mid-week, we were mostly alone. All roads are gravel. Sites are grass and gravel. No problem leveling. Playground for kids plus very nice beach on lake. A nice find. We will return.
Great weekender campground. They have water and power spaces for campers and rustic spaces for tent camping, great fire rings with built in grilles. Very reasonable prices, vehicle permit camping and firewood came to about 32 a night. very close to the metro area but off the beaten path enough for that wilderness feel. Tons of bike paths, bring your bike to get the most of the places. Real nice showers and multiple playgrounds for entertaining the kiddos and cleaning up. Showers do not cost anything more just need to take turns when busy. We never had to wait though. Beach is excellent lake is clean and there is a boat ramp. Bring your water toys. Trust me being a native of the twin cities, you can drive farther and do worse.
I have been going for years to this camp ground. It's a nice little getaway if you live in the cities. Fishing spots all over, a few bait shops in the area. Customer service has always been pleasant in the town. The little area for the camping spots are just right. They have a lake that is walking distance from the camp grounds, they even have a shower building, group camping, and RV camping as well. A nice little gem of a campground to escape to, even for just a day/night. Note: most places require masks.
Great campground. Quiet and clean. Wish they had sewers at the sites is our only request. Also, seems like it's costs a bit much for the amenities in comparison to public campgrounds.
