Me & my husband picked up our cousin from here. CO's really nice.
Lino Lakes Correctional officers in the visiting areas are wonderful. They try to make your visit as comfortable as possible knowing that it may be your first time visiting or hundredth time visiting. My only suggestion would be to read up on the rules of visiting before you get there. They have to enforce the rules for everyone's safety. The correctional officer with her hair pulled back in a bun and glasses, middle-aged lady, is actually funny and will respect you if you respect her. The same goes for all the correctional officers in the visiting area. The lady with the long straight dark hair, also middle-aged is also very down-to-earth and friendly. I appreciate all of their company when I have to be in an uncomfortable setting. Thank you all for your service. I really like getting my "magic stamp".
My experiences with the prison have been as good as they can be. The officers in the visiting area have been very helpful. People have to know to roll up your wibdows and lock your car, otherwise your visit will be ended on the spot, no chance for any explaination.
I have been visiting my son here for the past 10 months, what a journey this has been. May I add never expected or wanted. For all families and friends visiting loved ones here, I have come to understand the importance of the policies set forth for us to follow as we visit this place. The correctional officers that work here are as nice to you as you are them. If you treat them with respect they are very kind and helpful. I have witnessed people angry, frustrated and rather rude with the correctional officers. All in all they have these rules we need to follow set up for not only their safety but OURS... Please keep in mind, they are only doing their job and it is not their fault OR out fault our loved ones are in this place. Thank you Lino Lakes Correctional Officers for keeping us all safe.
I have had nothing but positive experiences visiting at Lino. I am there 3-4 times a week. So they have plenty of opportunity to be difficult. Instead, they are kind and helpful. They seem to try hard to be welcoming as its already difficult for us.
