Mission Log: Day 0.01, searched for the marooned traveler with no success. Even the plastic poo station was spotless, no signs of a survivor. With juice box rations low, the captain has ordered us to acquire Chick Fillet but it's Sunday, so I fear a mutiny is pending. Must plan better for a second excursion.
Admired from driving by, floating next to and looking at from mainland. However never visited.
Great Free Wifi though!
Such a beautiful lake and great place to park your boat and go for a swim by the island!
Day Thirty of being stranded on this abandoned island. No luck reviving the planes motors. I have survived off of the fish that I caught on the north side of the island. Locals have ignored my cries for help, and some made fun of me :-(. I tried to swim my way back to the homeland but when I got a few yards out the yucky weeds tickled my toes. I don't know how much longer I can last...
While standing in waist deep water, taking pictures and video of a 50+ inch Muskellunge, I was alerted that a fox was watching me from shore. I was able to walk right up to the little guy, and shoot some great footage from about 5 feet before he ran off. :-)
Caught a fresh dinner of delicious crappies, sunnies and bass. Crappies and bass hit on crappie minnows, sunnies on worms, and the muskies were caught on Mepps.
The private launch is worth the few extra bucks, and they have great bait. I still have minnows alive 3 weeks later. The small crawlers are perfect.
Fish right off the weeds, slip bobber or straight down, lightweight braid line. Just a hook and small weight. The quick release scared the crappies off. I am bringing a cane pole next time!
No success trolling.
