I started seeing alicia for infertility treatments - 1 month of treatment later and I was pregnant! (After a year of trying!) Then I had a ton of morning sickness and all the other pregnancy issues and Alicia seriously helped me with those as well. I have been under Alicia's care for nearly four years and my only regret is that I didn't start sooner. My treatments have become a crucial part of my health regimen. All my life (I’m 53), I have considered myself a believer in primarily western medicine (over all else) for a few reasons. Firstly, it was all I was ever exposed to (and what we're often inundated with), coupled with an impatience of wanting a quick fix. But at what cost were prescription and over-the-counter drugs taking a toll on my health? I was in search of answers, so when a friend told me to try acupuncture, I was skeptical. But I could not shake that nudge (call it intuition). I knew I wanted off this hamster wheel of always resorting to pills and the pain always returned. Since receiving treatments with Alicia, I have drastically reduced the need, and perhaps dependence, on them. That was a huge win-win in itself! I should add that this was all during the most stressful years of my life having lost several immediate family members in a short time span. Alicia is an excellent listener, often hearing things I'm not even saying, showing her depth of knowledge. Her passion is 'healing' and it shows through every aspect of her practice, from her professionalism, compassion, clean/zen environment and her continued desire to stay updated on emerging information while never rushing through a session (which I always feel at doctor appts). How many times are we in the waiting room longer than in the actual appointment? Alicia has become my "go to" to bounce off so many ideas, as well as she helps logically sift through the mega amount of medical information floating around out there which can be so overwhelming. What started out as migraines has expanded, and since we have delved into so many other health-related aspects as well. What changed my way of thinking from a western-medicine approach to a more natural, eastern-medicine approach? Simply stated ~ RESULTS! And it's been these results that has led me to seek out even more information in this arena, which has truly been life changing.
