I'm beginning to feel like it's strange to rate church buildings. What am I even rating? Building grounds are great. People and activities are fun, friendly, and good. Doctrine it's accurate and true, and disseminated surprisingly uniformly, even internationally. This place is no exception. Leadership is composed of men and women giving their all to lead as directed by heaven, through prayer, fasting, scripture study, and love. Folks at this particular location are great, and human still, so not perfect, but striving to follow Christ's admonition to "be ye therefore perfect" Wana know more, show up on a Sunday and tell someone so.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I attend for many reasons that help me to think God approves of how we worship.
1. We have a modern day prophet who guides the people and church to stay true to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the prophets past. We believe our prophet is guided and instructed by God for our benefit.
2. We can vote to sustain or reject leaders in our congregation and our leading members of the church including the prophet.
3. The organization of the church is supportive of the needs of people. Locally and abroad we strive to be a support to those in need.
4. I believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I see good works pour out of the followers of God. We are not the perfect ones. Often we fall short of our goal to be more like Jesus christ. Unfortunately everyone of our church members have made mistakes that have hurt others. We are taught to keep trying to do better, to repent of our mistakes the best we know how, and try again. Which is often hard, since it seems easier at times not to do this. We are taught to love others as we love ourselves. This is our life long goal second only to loving and honoring God.

I love this church! A lot of friendly people. Church hours are 9:00-11:00 or 11:30-1:30. Visiters are always welcome. Church dress is formal (white shirt and tie / modest dress or skirt).

Two wards attend in this building. Both wards are friendly and welcoming. Glencoe Ward has a large Primary and young families. Evergreen Ward has more established families with a small Primary and a healthy youth program.

It is the case that the air conditioning seems to only work well in the sacrament meeting room and relief society room despite the church's best efforts to rennovate it, but it's only an issue occaisionally.

We absolutely loved attending services here. We were only in Oregon for four months, but because of the friendly church-goers here, it now feels like Hillsboro is our home away from home.

The activities were awesome (even though the 5k was closer to a 10k), and we still keep in touch with some of the church members there.

I heartily recommend this church to anyone in the vicinity. They'll welcome you with open arms. I mean it.
