Nice quiet campground. Would be better if all sites had electricity.
Vist with out if state friends. Vary nice park
A really lovely little campground! It definitely felt more like an RV park than a campground, some of the sites in the non electric loop didn't look like there would even be space to put up a tent. Especially the sites in the center of the loop, they are very close together. We stayed at site 8 and there was a good amount of space for our tent and a couple good trees to hang up hammocks. Site 9 next to us was by far the biggest and had plenty of good hammocking trees. The flush toilets at the front of the campground were decently clean and well stocked with toilet paper, but both sides were out of soap for the whole weekend we were there. There are no showers. There are a few fresh water spigots throughout the campground. Neighbors were all friendly and respectful, the park was very quiet at night, although not very dark as there are quite a few street lights scattered throughout the park. Firewood and ice available for purchase from the camp supply store, which was only open Friday and Saturday.
Clean park new facilities and playground. Roads are new as well. Good trails
Small and quiet state park campground. Not difficult to find using Google Maps and pretty decent cell phone reception (5G in certain parts!). The trail around the lake isn't a loop due to dam construction but still made for a great out-and-back hike. Some of the non-electric campsites are a little close together but it wasn't too busy so this wasn't much of an issue. Water on site & okay-ish restrooms (not bad for a state park!). Each site has a picnic table & fire ring with a grate. Overall, great weekend camping spot!
