Garlough Environmental Magnet Elementary School

We LOVE Garlough. It is an incredible place. There is a palpable feel of commitment and community in the school. The educators and administrators are engaged and motivated to help kids of all backgrounds learn and thrive. Amazing work is being done to differentiate education to meet each child where she is at, and to help her grow. Garlough views and treats kids as whole people with attention given not only to their academic and intellectual development, but also to their social, emotional and physical development. Students get outside regularly, learn every day about the planet they live on and their role in maintaining it for future generations, and are instilled with curiosity and wonder.

My son completely stopped having behavioral problems at school after attending garlough, because they have such a wonderful unique approach to teaching. They meet all of the standards for school curriculum while engaging the children in an outdoor experience. My son now has a greater appreciation for the earth and a great education!
