Corcoran Locker

Twenty four years ago a city boy walked into this butcher shop. That city boy is still there transformed into a man. Joe Andres gave that city boy a job 24 years ago. Today I'm that man, 24 years later and I'm so grateful and appreciate Joe for giving me an opportunity to not only work but teach me a career. Unfortunately Joe passed away peacefully this past Saturday at his home. I'll miss you as a mentor, a boss, a father figure and simply just being a friend! I can't thank you enough for everything you did for me every lesson I ever learned from you even the times you didn't know I was watching trust me I was learning! There wasn't a thing I couldn't go to you for be it to borrow me a 20 before I learned how to manage money all those years ago to my personal life problems or if I just simply needed some advice. Joe had seen me at my best as well as at my worst he's watched me succeed and witnessed me fail but never ever did Joe cast a stone of judgement upon me. The only place in my life I have ever felt as if I was a pillar of the community it was being in my element doing what I love to do and that was being employed by Joe at the Corcoran Locker Plant. Seeing the rewards of my passion and hard work in the form of customers returning time after time until eventually they turn into friends telling me how much they enjoyed the beef I cut for them or how flavorful the sausage I made was and how much they enjoyed it is the best reward and feeling I've ever known. So all these years later that city boy wants to thank you in advance for everything you're about to do for him, but the man I am today would like to tell you...Joe my friend I will forever miss you! You were more than a boss to me you are my friend and I am forever in your debt for giving me the tools to do what I love in life and I thank you for giving that city boy a chance and believing in me throughout all these years and I'm proud of the man I am today and I'm more than okay with that. Rest easy my friend until we meet again!

Damn good meat I hope they stay reasonable in their pricing always because the combination of flavor and price keeps me stopping in.

When the kids ask if we can have Meat for supper, I immediately think of the Corcoran locker plant. Staff will cut to order. Beef sticks are a great snack. Steaks, burgers, brats, are all easy to cook. A nice business that supports the local Lions Club.
