Very nice trail. Would be even better if people kept their dogs on the leash.

Great trail with pleasant places

I've dedicated my life to writing reviews on Park Reserves in Eden Prairie. So before I go any further I just need to let you know that this is my true Google account. You may have noticed some reviews on the Ponds and the Marshes to the West of here (Bloomington) but I assure you those are imposter accounts. Park Reserves like Anderson Lakes in Eden Prairie are the only real local tourist destinations left unspoiled by those greedy capitalist Pond and Marsh people. Don't even waste your time with the mad rantings about Veness, Woodbridge, and Pickfair... If you haven't wandered aimlessly through the wooded paths and scenic lake overview of Anderson Lakes you really haven't experienced life. And the most amazing thing is that a visit is free if you can find parking! To think they charge for views of the Grand Canyon (from helicopter) or guided tours on Mars while this unbelievable gem of our most illustrious planet is waiting for you for no cost other than your time, some gas, and the economic concept of opportunity cost.

Confusing Google Location - Anderson Lakes Park Reserve is mostly a nature preserve with no trails or human access so don’t let Google Maps mislead you (the Timber Trail address listed is NOT how you gain access). The only access for humans is at Anderson Lakes Regional Park located on Anderson Lakes Parkway. There are some nice paved and unpaved trails, but they are mostly in the woods and along meadows and not near the actual lakes so don’t let the park name confuse you. If you want to run or walk around a lake in the Eden Prairie area go to Purgatory Park or Staring Lake Park.
